ISingArabicParticipants of all backgrounds are singing in Arabic, visit our Facebook event page to submit your video and win prizes!We invite people of all ages and interests to share their Arabic singing talents.GUIDELINES:-Post a 15 to 60 second video singing in Arabic on our event page-Submit your video before April 15, 2016 (12pm EST)-Use hashtag #iSingArabicAWARDS/VOTING:-Winners will be determined by greatest number of “likes” their video receives by April 15 on our event page-1ST PLACE will receive a signed limited edition box with CD of "Words Adorned: Andalusian Poetry & Music," and a new CD to be released in July 2016 of “One Breath, One Soul: Sufi Poetry & New Music” with Dalal Abu Amneh and Al-Bustan Takht-2ND PLACE will receive 2 tickets to either the April 16 concert “One Breath, One Soul: Sufi Poetry & New Music” or to the May-June “Musical Encounters” concert series in Philadelphia. If cannot attend, will receive new CD to be released in July 2016 of “One Breath, One Soul: Sufi Poetry & New Music” with Dalal Abu Amneh and Al-Bustan Takht-3RD PLACE will receive a set of four Al-Bustan coastersSPECIAL PRIZE FOR ARABIC/MUSIC EDUCATORS:Send in a video with your student(s) singing in ArabicWinner with greatest number of likes will receive free tuition to Al-Bustan’s "Arab Arts & Culture Course for Educators" held July 11-15 in Philadelphia.Inspired by Qatar Foundation International's #ISpeakArabic, Al-Bustan's "#iSingArabic" initiative promotes Arab culture through singing.Participants from diverse backgrounds are singing in Arabic with Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture's choir class at University of Pennsylvania, after-school at Moffet Elementary, summer youth programs, and in partnerships with professional choirs.If you have not sung in Arabic before, you can participate in one of Al-Bustan’s programs in Philadelphia, or check out one of our song tools and learn to sing Nassam Alayna on your own!
