Moffet Garden Arts Celebration

Al-Bustan is pleased to bring together the Moffet School and Kensington community for a special FREE event to celebrate the work of the Moffet drummers, choir, and visual artists in the Al-Bustan's Arab Arts After-school Program.The garden event will include performances by the talented Moffet drummers led by Master Percussionist Hafez Kotain, Moffet singers led by Choir Director Serge El Helou, and a presentation of the students’ artwork made in classes led by Visual Artist Lisa Volta.Kensington community members are invited to bring something savory or sweet to share in the multicultural potluck (please provide a label with ingredients for those with dietary restrictions), in addition to participating in the arts activities led by partnering organizations. The event will also showcase and celebrate student achievement in other Moffet arts enrichment programs offered by community partners.Arts Activities begin at 5pm with performances to follow at 5:45pm, and dinner at 6:15pm.Thanks to William Penn Foundation for making this year's program possible!
