Al-Bustan Camp is Al-Bustan’s flagship program, an Arabic language and cultural day camp held for children and youth every July at Springside School in Chestnut Hill.
Arab Rhythms offers instruction in Arab percussion techniques for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students, including the Al-Bustan’s Percussion Ensemble.
Weekend Language and Arts Workshops are held in the fall and spring at The Rotunda in West Philadelphia. Arab language instruction is integrated with Drama, Dance, Art, or Storywriting.
School-Based Arab Cultural Arts Program offers in and after-school classes in various artistic media. Students in public and independent schools explore their lives and heritage, with subsequent sharing of their explorations through public performances, exhibits, video screenings, and development of curriculum material for educators.
Master Performances are presentations of prominent Arab-American literary, performing, and visual artists. Most recently, our roster of guests has included musicians and composers A.J. Racy and Simon Shaheen, and author Naomi Shihab Nye.
