Complementing Al-Bustan’s work with youth, are opportunities for educators, artists, and other adults to learn and appreciate Arab music and culture.
In March 2008, Al-Bustan invited acclaimed scholar and musician A. J. Racy to present a demonstration workshop in addition to a concert performance.
In November 2008, musician/composer Simon Shaheen presented a two-hour workshop for almost 100 teachers and musicians.
In 2010, Hanna Khoury led a 5-day music course on Arab music for adults. Given the success of this course, another course is offered in June 2011, open to educators, musicians, and music enthusiasts.
