
Following its successful fall ’09 debut, The Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble invites musicians & singers to join in 2010!
The Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble — led by music director and violin virtuoso HANNA KHOURY — is one of our newest projects here at Al-Bustan. The Ensemble plays a repertoire of classical Arab music. Read about their debut performance in December 4, 2009

Participation is open for singers of all levels and intermediate to advanced musicians playing strings, wind, or percussion (3rd-12th graders, college students and older)

- Group instruction is on Wednesdays at U-Penn campus starting January 13th:
Singers: 6-7:30pm — Instrumentalists: 7-9pm
Location: Parish Hall at St. Mary’s Church, 3916 Locust Walk, in West Philadelphia
Fee: $300 for spring semester –15 sessions: January 13 – April 21, 2010
- Ensemble to perform in Concert with world-renown violin/oud virtuoso Simon Shaheen on April 25, 2010 – Irvine Auditorium, U-Penn
- Private instruction available with experienced musicians in oud, nay, flute, violin, viola, and percussion, to supplement group instruction
