This month we have three exciting events around the corner. . .
MidEast Ensemble concert today, Saturday 11/15, 8pm at Annenberg Center of U-Penn, with opening piece by Al-Bustan Percussion Ensemble.
Hanan Al-Shaykh reading on Tuesday 11/18 Tuesday at Kelly Writers House, 6pm – 3805 Locust Walk. Al-Bustan is pleased to co-sponsor the event and welcome Lebanese novelist and playwright Hanan Al-Shaykh to Philadelphia free and open to the public.
Simon Shaheen music workshop, free, for music teachers and musicians; to be held on Wednesday 11/19, 1-3pm at Kimmel Center, Rendell Room.

Also, save the date of 12/2, 6:30-9pm for Al-Bustan’s Community Celebration to be held at Konak Restaurant: 228 Vine Street. Join us in celebrating a terrific year of Arab arts and culture in Philadelphia. $35 admission ($15 for 12 yrs & younger) includes a delicious meal, music, friendship, and a small donation to Al-Bustan.
